I’m already incredibly annoyed with most of the people that seem to be applying for Fall 2012. I’m so worried that I’m going to get stuck in an apartment with one of these immature, selfish people who have never been away from home. This program is a HUGE responsibility. A full time job, classes, paying your own bills! Why doesn’t anyone seem to know what you’re getting into? I’m already dealing with roommate issues! I’m so nervous that I’ll have to deal with the same or worse when I move it.
This really upset me. I just can not believe how negative someone can be towards people going through the application process. For some the DCP will be a learning experience…it can be someones first time away from home, working, and paying bills. There is no need to rip on these people. Remember you are not better than anyone. If you can’t handle the thought of being a roommate with someone like this maybe you shouldn’t even apply at all. For me I have lived alone, worked full time, and have paid my own bills yet I am still super excited/nervous for this opportunity. Many students applying are not JUST applying for the program, but they are putting their WHOLE heart into it. I wish everyone GOOD LUCK
